Priti SinhaThe world of the classroom and learning has undergone both visible and invisible changes. There is an immediate need to prepare the current generation to equip them for the new age skills like problem solving, critical thinking, team building and digital skills. Today’s children will increasingly be required to think deeply about issues that impact life and society, solve problems creatively, work in teams, communicate effectively, learn the fast changing technology and deal with a flood of information, while doing jobs that are non-routine and constantly changing.

Our Primary school curriculum is carefully designed to cater to the needs of changing trends in learning and facilitate the learning of skills that are very relevant for students’ current and future needs. The blend of activities, hands-on experiences, multi faith prayer, project based learning, celebrations and field trips bring out the best. These activities represent the shift from an emphasis on providing content to providing skills, from looking at the classroom as the only point of learning to accepting that learning happens across life spaces.

Our high school curriculum provide a holistic and broad-based education, that will help realize not only the inherent potential of children but also equip them with the skills and competencies necessary for the 21st Century. Our well equipped teachers utilize innovative teaching techniques like mind mapping, multiple intelligence, constructivist approach, project based learning, public speaking,6 Thinking Hats, Error Analysis to enhance the teaching learning.

Besides academics our curriculum focuses on all round development through an array of co-curricular activities, inter & intra school events, Young Leaders Programme, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People with a strong focus on developing values.

I am grateful to the Management for having reposed their trust & faith in me and will keep the banner of Gulmohur flying high. God bless our school and all its stakeholders.

With best wishes
