My Dear Students,
Here we are in the month of November, the second last month of the year. November; the eleventh month derives its name from the Latin word for the number nine – ‘novem’. It is also often linked with the beautiful flower of Chrysanthemum, which symbolizes honesty, joy and optimism. Although November is the last month of autumn but in most parts of the world winter have already arrived at the doorstep. There are some other festivals and some important events also fall in the month like – Diwali, Chhat, Gurunanak Jayanti, Children’s Day,Thanksgiving Day etc.
In this month our main focus was on the festival of lights “DIWALI”. It is an important festival of Hindus that celebrates the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after his victory over the Demon King Ravana. It signifies the victory of good over evil and eradication of dark shadows, negativity and doubts from our lives. It also marks the triumph of peace, prosperity, joy and love among people.
Kali Puja another religious festival is also celebrated in the first day of Diwali. Idols of goddess Kali are worshipped. On these special days decorated houses can be seen everywhere around. Rangolis and toys made of clay also express their significance in the festival of Diwali thorough the language of unique creativity and soberness.
So, with all the joy and enthusiasm in our hearts we present the eleventh edition celebrating the first anniversary of “Gulmohur Chronicles”. Remembering this phenomenal achievement this time there are a lot of new columns included which are – Our country, history of chronicles and also the highlights of the month. So this time there are a lot of surprises. Thus, make sure you read it till the end, we assure that you will definitely enjoy the exciting journey of this chronicle.
